Cat Lounging On Couch
It was around midnight one warm summer night in 2010, on a dark deserted road in the countryside of Markham, Ontario. A couple were driving home after a night out, and they passed a car on the opposite side of the road. As they drove by, they saw a woman who looked like she had a cat carrier in her hand. They swung the car around, and the woman disappeared very quickly and drove off into the night. In the ditch next to a field of cabbages, they saw two pairs of terrified eyes. At once they were able to grab one little frightened Himalayan kitten, as a larger one slunk off into the tall grass. They put the little one into the car and searched for the other one, but to no avail. The little kitten was dirty, missing some fur due to a skin ailment and had very runny eyes. He obviously had not been very well taken care of. The couple spent the next two days searching for the other cat, and to their extreme joy spotted him hiding in the tall grass not too far from where he was originally dumped. He had flattened himself so low to the ground in an attempt to hide himself from any possible enemies. With the help from the wonderful North Toronto Cat Rescue, they were able to catch him, and both father and son were taken into the shelter. There they were taken care of by the kind volunteers who immediately fell in love with them both.
